My husband and I had our reception at the Magnolia Ballroom, and it was absolutely perfect. We had been searching for a venue that was less mainstream than a standard hotel ballroom or a barn (when in Texas...), and this was just the place. As a historical landmark and a former brewery, Magnolia had a charm and character that was unmatched by other venues. Our guests loved their experience, and we were very pleased with our decision! - Franciska M on the Knot

My husband and I just had our wedding ceremony and reception here and it was absolutely perfect! It totally fit our styles and taste. We looked at two other venues before we chose this one and as soon as we walked in and saw all the old pictures on the wall and just the whole place in general we knew we had to get married here. Dewayne and his team were so so helpful and made the entire night go by smoothly. I couldn't imagine now doing our wedding anywhere else and I'm so glad we chose The Historic Magnolia Ballroom! - Erica on The Knot

"The ballroom itself is such a beautiful place! It's historic and a little quirky and was perfect for us! I love all the space, love that we had the entire place to ourselves, our guests thought it was amazing! The price was great and it allowed us to do a lot of things ourselves, which saved a ton of money." - Jennifer on WeddingWire

My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception here, and it was perfect! as soon as we walked into the building we knew it was the one. Dewayne and his team were amazing, kind, and so helpful. I would recommend this venue to everyone! - Erica on Yelp

"My husband and I are both very particular people and when it came to the wedding we both had very specific ideas of what we wanted. We went to an open house at the ballroom and fell in love. Dewayne was so helpful and made the process very easy. I will say that the venue has a list of caterers they prefer and you have to go with their bar people. For us it worked less choices made it easier to decide." - Phoebe on The Knot

"The ballroom is a gorgeous historic building in downtown Houston which is rare in a city that likes to tear down all the old buildings and put in new shiny ones. The venue seats 150 in the main ballroom, but can accommodate 180 at a maximum. We had about 130-135 people attend and it felt very intimate which was exactly what we were looking for! There is a patio that overlooks the bayou, but we had our reception beginning at 5:30pm and it was still very hot at this time. I'm not sure if anyone actually used the patio, but it is very pretty and extends the space available." - Elizabeth on WeddingWire

"My fiancee & I fell in love with the Magnolia Ballroom when we attended a cake tasting there. We immediately booked our wedding reception @ this venue & we are SO glad we did!" - Monica on WeddingWire

"When I got engaged I knew I wanted something small, intimate, romantic, and unique. Like many couples nowadays, my Husband and I paid for the majority of our wedding so we were on a tight budget. It is a historic building so it has charm inside and out. We didn't have to bring hardly any decorations because it alone was simply beautiful. The venue basically came with everything except the cake, DJ, and photo/video." - Jennifer on WeddingWire

"From the time we walked into the ballroom for the first time we fell in love with the charachter of the place. It was just the right size for our 130 guests. The room had so much beauty that adding lighting or decoration was not necessary." - a Private User on WeddingWire

"I absolutely fell in love with the Magnolia Ballroom. It has the historic feeling I was looking for with lots of windows, high ceilings, marble, dark wood features, covered balcony, and pictures and paraphernalia from the brewery. All of my guests loved the unique feel to the site. I loved the fact that they had an assortment of bridal packages. They handle the catering, linens, bar, staff, security, parking, etc." - Jessica on WeddingWire

"Beautiful, and reasonably priced! Lovely oak staircases and wood floors, original bar complete with taps and stained glass, a patio with a nice view of the bayou and the city, and a very impressive mural on the ceiling! If you're on a budget, this venue is great because you don't really need a lot of decoration. Simple candlelight was enough to really make the place look absolutely stunning! We have really lovely pictures of the sunset coming through the windows and candlelight lighting the room. We visited a lot of venues and did quite a bit of research, and this was by far the best deal. It was everything we were looking for!" - lm337201 on WeddingWire
